Bible Update

So I went to Barnes and Noble to pick up my copy of the Bible. I didn't realize how many different types of bibles and different interpretative versions of the Bible. I could not decide on which copy to get. So I decided to get "The Bible for Dummies", this one, it looked like the professors who wrote it had good qualifications, and definitely more knowledge than I have. I figured it would be a good way to start, and then I could decide which bible to buy. Suggestions are still welcome.
